Mandala 4
Acrylic paint on a board. My goal was to use the three primary colors in such a way as to cause us to see only one color’s shape at a time. The first color to attract our eyes is red, then yellow so to minimize this I put red, in a small amount and in a simple shape on the edges. The second dominate color, yellow, is tempered by putting it in an elaborate shape, not easily recognizable and its strength is bisected equally into bright and pastel shapes. The least dominate color, blue, is featured in the center of the composition in easily recognizable shapes and patterns.
